Mother’s Day took on special meaning this year when a number of local spiritual leaders assembled in the Memorial grove at the University of California campus. The group had come to bless the site and express their support for both the protection of the endangered oak trees and to those who have participated in Berkeley’s tree-sit, now in its 163rd day.
